The Sun Belt may announce this week that the Mavericks will be

The Sun Belt Conference is scheduled to meet this week in Destin, Fla., for
its annual spring meetings. Sometime during this meeting this week, the SBC
board of directors may announce that the league will add UT-Arlington as a
non-football member in 2013.
UT-Arlington is expected to become that latest member, giving the SBC 12 total schools and 10 of which play football. Texas-Arlington is a school of 21,000 students 30 miles west of Dallas and 20 miles east of Fort Worth.
The Mavericks also has a new sports arena called “College Park, which was recently built. If added UT-Arlington will play in the SBC West Division.
