ESPN
and the Sun Belt Conference announced Thursday that Western Kentucky’s home
football game Sept. 22 against Southern Mississippi will be broadcast on ESPN3.com.
The
6 p.m. kickoff from Houchens-Smith Stadium will be the first matchup between
the Hilltoppers and Golden Eagles. Southern Miss finished the 2011 season with
a 12-2 record, knocking off previously undefeated Houston to win the Conference
USA championship, before concluding its season with a victory over Nevada in
the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl.
This
will be an interesting game to watch and attend, to see WKU a most improved
team play the Golden Eagles of Southern Miss.
