Future SBC member Texas State stuns Houston 30-13 in their first ever FBS game

Texas State is making some noise as they open their first ever FBS season.

In its first official game as a member of the FBS, the Texas State football team beat Houston, 30-13 Saturday night at Robertson Stadium in Houston. Marcus Curry led the Bobcats offensively with a career-high 131 yards rushing and three total touchdowns. It was the first time the Bobcats have beat an FBS team since 2000 when they defeated Louisiana Monroe.

The Bobcats will take on Texas Tech at home to open their brand new 30,000 seat on campus stadium on Saturday, do we smell another upset? It’s possible…….

Texas State is playing one season in the WAC, that will exist no more, before moving on to the Sun Belt Conference in 2013.
