The
Blue Raiders and The Owls are ready to take the field for their season
conference opener. The Blue Raiders is coming off a close loss and the Owls are
coming off their season opener win over Wagner.
Both
teams had a losing season last year and they are looking to improve their
record this season, as Florida Atlantic has hired a new head coach and coaching
staff, and Middle Tennessee has brought in new defensive coordinator Tyrone Nix
to get his players to stop the play on defense.
Middle
Tennessee head coach Rick Stockstill had this to say about the conference
opener; this is our opening conference game, and we are excited about it.
Florida Atlantic is coming off of a win last week and it is a much different
team than we've seen the last couple of years, schematically, and from an
athleticism standpoint. Defensively, they've gone from a 3-4 to a 4-3, they
play a lot of man coverage, and they come at you, pressuring and blitzing more.
Middle
Tennesse vs. FAU will be held Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 6:00pm at Middle
Tennessee.
