a disappointing loss to McNeese State in week 1, Middle Tennessee found a way
to come back and win in their conference season opener over Florida Atlantic.

Kilgore threw two touchdown passes to Anthony Amos and Middle
Tennessee dominated the ground game in a 31-17 Sun Belt Conference win over Florida
Atlantic on Saturday night.
The
Blue Raiders (1-1, 1-0) had two 100-yard rushers in a game for the first time
since 2009. Freshman Jordan Parker finished with 117 yards on 17
carries and Drayton Calhoun rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on 14
attempts.
Middle
Tennessee amassed 302 of its 480 yards on the ground while the Owls (1-1, 0-1)
finished with 96 yards rushing.
Kilgore
hit Amos with a 38-yard TD with 16 seconds elapsed in the second quarter, then
found him again for a 26-yard score to make it 24-3 with 29 seconds left in the
third. Amos finished with a career-high 102 yards on four catches.
Florida
Atlantic's Graham Wilbert was 25 of 32 for 260 yards and two
touchdowns.
