Arkansas State dismisses Mike Dyer

Mike Dyer

Mike Dyer a former Auburn running back has been dismissed from the Arkansas State team according to a press release from the Red Wolves.

Arkansas State on Sunday said that Dyer was dismissed because he violated an undisclosed team rule. Arkansas State coach Gus Malzahn announced the move in a news release.

"I am truly disappointed that it didn't work out here at ASU for Mike," Malzahn said.  "I wish Mike nothing but the best in the future."

Dyer was suspended before Auburn's bowl game last season, and then he followed Malzahn, his offensive coordinator at Auburn, to Arkansas State. Dyer was ruled ineligible to play this season by the NCAA, and then rumors surface that he was considering transferring to a Division II school, and then Dyer came back to shoot the rumors down and say he was sticking with Arkansas State.

It not clear where Dyer is headed now, or why he was dismissed from the Arkansas State Red Wolves. But this leads me to say that Dyer is a sad case that once was a rising star in college football. Dyer just can seem to get it together.
