In
2012 we have seen some college football players leave other FBS schools to
attend and play at Sun Belt Conference schools; some was even recruiting out of
high school as three star players. Fall preseason practice is under way and they
will be showcasing their talent, which will be a priority to get playing time
in the upcoming season.
Many
are believe to be great, no doubt many Sun Belt teams are looking for more dept
on the front line. So I compiled a list of those players that has transferred
to SBC schools.
Quarterbacks
- Terrance Broadway, Houston to UL Lafayette
- Ross Metheny, Virginia to South Alabama
Offensive Lineman
The Jaguars seems to be the only team to pick up a transfer on the
offensive line.
- James Elliott, Kentucky to South Alabama
Running Backs
Jeremiah
Bryson, Pittsburgh to MTSU
Drayton Calhoun, LSU to MTSU
Drayton Calhoun, LSU to MTSU
Daquan
Hargrett, West Virginia to FIU
Wide Receivers
- Bradley Brown, Northwestern State to UL Lafayette ( Brown transferred from a FCS)
- Devin Figaro, Tulane to UL Lafayette
- James Louis, Ohio State to FIU
Tight Ends
North
Texas was the only SBC team to pick up a TE transfer.
- Cam Feldt, Arkansas to North Texas
Defensive Lineman
UL-Monroe
picked up a the only DL transfer that we know of from Missouri.
- Gerrand Johnson, Missouri to UL Monroe
Defensive Backs
- Darius Barksdale, Jacksonville State to UL Lafayette (Transferred from an FCS)
- Jajuan Harley, Florida State to MTSU
- Marcus Trice, Oklahoma to North Texas
All
of these players that can make an immediate impact on Sun Belt Conference teams
this fall.
