Georgia State Football Coach Bill Curry set to Retire

GSU Head Coach Bill Curry
As Georgia State make their first year transition to FBS they do it with the help of legendary Bill Curry leading them into a temporary home of the CAA, before they move to their permanent home  the Sun Belt Conference in 2013.

Coach Bill Curry will not lead the GSU Panthers into the Sun Belt Conference in 2013, but instead he is retiring. When Georgia State enters into the Sun Belt Conference there will be a new name and face leading the Panthers.

Curry retires after four seasons with the Panthers (three with games) and will always be remembered as GSU Football’s first ever coach. His resume includes a career at Georgia Tech, a professional career among legends with the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Colts, as well an appearance in Super Bowls I, III, and V. He previously coached at Georgia Tech, Alabama, and Kentucky before taking the job at Georgia State.

Curry will conclude as head coach at the end of 2012 season.
