South Alabama and Troy football game will be televised

A game that many fans in South Alabama and the Gulf Coast are excited about will be televised.

On Saturday September 29, 2012, South Alabama will take to the field for the first time to face their new instate football conference rival Troy. This game will be televised through the Sun Belt Network which has a joint partnership with Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS) and Cox Sports Television (CST). Each of the seven games on the Sun Belt Network line up will air in 13 states across the Southeast and is often available on ESPN3.com and ESPN Gameplan outside of the CSS and CST markets.

South Alabama and Troy game is set to kickoff at 2:30 p.m. at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama, a stadium that is believed to be the largest in the Sun Belt Conference and will hold approx 40,000 fans.

The Sun Belt Network has selected seven games to air and more to be announced

22 games are currently scheduled to air during the 2012 football season because of the Sun Belt Conference and its member institution's willingness to broadcast games. Additionally, the Sun Belt will announce on tomorrow (August 2) that six more games will be added to the broadcast schedule. Here is a look at the scheduled games.

Sept. 29: Troy at South Alabama, 2:30 p.m.
Oct. 6: Louisiana-Monroe at Middle Tennessee, 2:30 p.m.
Oct. 13: Florida Atlantic at Louisiana-Monroe, 7 p.m.
Oct. 20: FIU at Troy, noon.
Nov. 3: Louisiana-Lafayette at Louisiana-Monroe, 3 p.m.
Nov. 10: FAU at Western Kentucky, noon
Nov. 24: North Texas at Western Kentucky, noon.
